The Pashley Manor outing is planned to coincide with the Tulip Festival which features 35,000 tulips and is celebrating its 25th year. In addition, the ingredients of the English Country garden are present – herbaceous borders, kitchen garden, walled garden and venerable trees. The garden is a haven for wildlife including moorhens, ducks and a black swan.
King John’s Nursery and Garden
The gardens are as beautiful as they are tranquil and have captured the hearts of many a garden writer both in the UK and abroad. With the stunning house as its backdrop, the grounds boast formal lawns with a fountain and lily pond, a wild garden with ancient apple trees and a meadow. There is also a secret pond with a woodland walk. Most of the plants sold at the nursery are grown on site. The cafe focuses on using local seasonal produce.
